Scott Brawner

Scott Brawner is in international performer of percussion and steel pan. Mr. Brawner received both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in music education from The University of Louisville. He is currently working on his Rank I education. He has given concerts and masterclasses in steel pan at Jefferson Community and Technical College, Bellarmine, The University of Louisville, Western Wyoming Community College and Cleveland State Community College. Mr. Brawner has been a music educator for over twenty years. He has performed as a member of the Louisville Orchestra, Caribe Steel Band, and Acousticolada Band of Steel. Mr. Brawner is a member of the Kentucky Music Educators Association and is an avid pan player and arranger. Brawner lived and worked on the island of Sint Maarten as a professional steel drummer and educator; he worked and performed with the Mighty Dow, one of the most successful musicians and artists in Sint Maarten. Mr. Brawner most recently joined The Young at Heart Dixieland Band as the drum set player in Lexington, KY. He currently resides in Maysville, KY with his two cats Piper and Bailey.
