Tim Litteral
Director of Finance & Technology
Cross Country Coach / Track & Field Coach

My name is Tim Litteral, and I am the Director of Finance and Technology at Augusta Independent. 2024 marks my 17th year at Augusta Independent, having joined the district in July 2008.
During my first six years at AIS, I taught middle school and high school English, as well as Journalism, before accepting a full-time district administrative position. I'm in my 14th year as the cross country coach. We also restarted the track and field program in 2015, which I also coach. In addition to my coaching duties, I assist with communications for the Athletic Department. I enjoy supporting our students and try to attend many school events and activities.
I reside in Maysville, but I grew up in South Point, Ohio, near Ashland, Kentucky. I graduated from South Point High School in 2002. I earned an academic scholarship to attend Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio, and earned a Bachelor's Degree in English Education with a minor in Communications, graduating in 2006. I finished my Master's Degree in Educational Technology from Morehead State University in 2012. I completed my Rank I in 2015, receiving an Education Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership with a Supervisor of Instruction certification. I obtained my Superintendent's Certification in 2017.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, exercising, and technology. I enjoy traveling, as I've been up and down the East coast from Boston to Orlando. I'm an avid UK basketball and football fan and a Cincinnati Reds baseball fan. I also enjoy high school basketball.
I really embrace the small school atmosphere we have at Augusta. While I miss being in the same building as the students, I do enjoy the impact I'm able to make on the district as a whole now and am still able to keep a connection to students through extra-curricular activities.
